(LEIA O TEXTO ABAIXO)

So, what is a map?

A map is an image of an area, usually of the Earth or part of the Earth.

A map is different from an aerial photograph because it includes

interpretation. Many maps are called “charts” such as star charts and

nautical charts. Before the late 20th century, almost all maps were on

paper, though now they are more often to be seen on a smartphone or a

computer screen.

People who make maps are called cartographers.

If a map is on a piece of paper or a computer screen, it has to be

projected. This is because the Earth is round and paper and screens are

flat. Mathematics is used for these projections.

So, what is a map?

7. What are the cognate words? ( Quais são as palavras cognatas - "parecidas com o português"?)

Sublinhe (grife) no próprio texto.
